A 3-2 win over Wallsend Ladies secures a superb season.
Following a fantastic final day victory which saw the Barnsley Ladies win their league campaign, they have now ended the season with another trophy!Having progressed well through the previous rounds to reach the final, the Reds faced a tough Wallsend Ladies side if they wanted to add more silverware to the cabinet.
Having raced into an early lead, with a goal inside of three minutes, Barnsley Ladies held a half-time 1-0 lead.
Starting the second half just like the first, it was quickly 2-0 to the Reds on 50 minutes. However, Wallsend then battled hard and drew the scores back level with two goals of their own to make it 2-2.
The Barnsley Ladies weren't to be denied though and as the game approached the final 10 minutes, the winning goal came to secure a 3-2 victory!
