The recent arrival from Partick Thistle was up in front of the cameras at Oakwell today.

New-boy Liam Lindsay spoke to the press for the first time following his summer switch to Oakwell from Scottish Premier League side Partick Thistle.

The towering central defender discussed his move to Oakwell and how it was an easy decision for him to come, once he had spoken with Head Coach Paul Heckingbottom.

"It was simple really. I reckon I was in my comfort zone up in Scotland. I need to challenge myself and I want to develop my game. Once I got this opportunity the decision was easy.

"I met the Gaffer here and he took me into his office and showed me videos of my own game, videos of Barnsley and what he expected me to do. He really sold it to me. The detail he goes into convinced me further that I was making the right decision."
