Barnsley to face League Two opposition in the first week of the 2017/18 season.
The draw for the Carabao Cup First Round has taken place in Bangkok and the Reds will welcome Morecambe of League Two to Oakwell!
Paul Heckingbottom's side will face off against Jim Bentley's Shrimps for a place in the Second Round.
This will be just the second time the sides have met, with Morecambe turning the Reds over 2-0 at the same stage of the same competition at Oakwell back in 2011.
Seventy EFL Clubs were in the draw, which was regionalised to minimise travelling time for supporters, with seedings decided by each club’s finishing position in last season’s EFL.
The games will be played during the week commencing August 7th 2017.
