Zeki Fyers spoke to the press following the 3-3 draw in the Reds first pre-season outing at Guiseley.
The left-back arrived at Oakwell recently after turning down a new deal with Crystal Palace, and following his goal-scoring performance last night he reiterated it's all about minutes and 'game time' ahead of the 2017/18 season.
"I've got another 60 minutes into my legs so it's all about building it up really, getting myself up to full match fitness.
"I enjoyed the game. Especially with the goal! It just opened up for me really and I thought 'why not?' and connected unbelievably. But the importance for me is getting those minutes in.
"Last season I was barely playing, coming off the bench here and there. It's hard then to get up to speed and perform as you'd like to.
"To get to the level that I want to be at, I need now to be playing regularly. So these games are brilliant for us, because that's what it's all about really, getting ready for the season in front of us."
