Striker heads to New Meadow on loan until the end of the 2016/17 season.
We can today confirm that Reds striker Stefan Payne has joined League One side Shrewsbury Town on loan until the end of the 2016/17 season.The 25-year-old frontman joined Barnsley on an initial two-year contract in the summer of 2016 and has since gone on to make nine substitute appearances for the Reds in the current campaign.
Payne now heads out on loan to gain some vital Football League experience with the Shrews. He will link-up with his new teammates immediately and is in contention to play against Bury this weekend.
