The Reds centre half previewed the Sky Bet Championship clash with Derby County.
Joining the Club from Partick Thistle in the summer, Lindsay has been a consistent performer for Paul Heckingbottom this season.
Despite an injury that delayed his Reds debut upon arrival, the Scottish defender has been a regular for Barnsley so far in the Championship.
He dismissed the idea that some of the players in the squad had dropped their heads in recent weeks as the Reds lack of wins took hold.
"There are no heads down in that changing room," he asserted.
"Absolutely nothing like that. We've a good group of boys, we're a very young, hungry group of players and spirits are fine. The Gaffer wouldn't allow that anyway, we all know where we are at and what we need to improve going forward.
"We all have our own strengths and I just think a wee bit of tiredness has crept into performances. So we need to get back to those energetic displays we were showing previously.
"It can't be something to dwell on, a poor run of form. Because there's always another chance to end it. And just prior to this run, we were doing well and unbeaten in four."
With high-flying Derby County next up at Oakwell for the Reds, the 22-year-old defender believes the home crowd have their own part to play to try and help the Reds get back to winning ways.
"If we get a couple of results now with the games coming thick and fast, the opinions will change. It can turn quickly.
"But we do need the fans to keep backing us. It makes a difference when there's an atmosphere and they're driving you on.
"I hope we can get a performance and result against Derby, for the fans as well."
