Reds defender Ethan Pinnock gave his reaction following the defeat at Bramall Lane yesterday.
The Reds went down to a 1-0 defeat against Sheffield United yesterday afternoon and Pinnock came into the game as an half time substitute.
Signed from Forest Green Rovers, this was Ethan's first taste of Championship football and he impressed for Barnsley in the second period.
He told us: "It wasn't, of course, the ideal circumstances to come on in a game, but these things happen in football and you just have to adapt to things as quickly as possible.
"We didn't start the game in the right way, and so the opposition had chances. We weren't sharp enough at the start, not as much as we have been in the last couple of games. But we kept in the game and were better in the second half but unfortunately it just wasn't meant to be."
