Tom Bradshaw got off the mark at Oakwell last night and the striker hopes the victory over Morecambe can serve as a confidence booster for the squad.
The Welsh international grabbed a brace in last night's Carabao Cup First Round victory at Oakwell and could easily have registered his first Reds hat-trick but for a goal-line clearance late in the game.
As one of the more experienced members of Paul Heckingbottom's squad, Bradshaw was delighted to get off the mark nice and early for the season, and believes the victory could help the Reds in terms of their belief and confidence.
He said: "It's a massive result for us. Obviously we're a new team, a lot of new faces and so to get that first win will help us to build some confidence.
"We need to take that now, the good things we did like getting the ball down and playing some quick, attacking football, take that confidence forward into the game on Saturday against Ipswich here at Oakwell."
