2016/17 Award Winners Announced!

Six awards were presented on the pitch ahead of today's game with Burton Albion here at Oakwell...

The top performers at Barnsley FC throughout the 2016/17 season were awarded their trophies ahead of today's match against Burton Albion in front of the Oakwell faithful.

Reds captain Marc Roberts scooped the main Player of the Year award, with Ryan Kent named as the Club's Young Player of the Year!

Striker Adam Armstrong scooped the Goal of the Season Award for his stunning goal against Preston North End at Deepdale.

2016/17 Academy Player of the Season Award:

WINNER: Matty Wolfe

2016/17 Reds Player in the Community Award:

This award recognises an outstanding individual who goes above and beyond what is expected of them in support of the club's community programmes throughout the season and for their commitment off the pitch. This Award is in recognition of an individual who has gone the extra mile to support local community projects and the positive impact that this player has made.
