Barnsley Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Dover Athletic striker Stefan Payne.
The Club completed the signature of hotshot striker Stefan Payne on a free transfer, signing a two-year deal with the option of an additional year.
Payne, 24, has enjoyed a blistering campaign for Dover, which included 23 goals and 11 assists, taking his goal-tally over the last three seasons to an impressive 75.
Speaking of the new recruit, Paul Heckingbottom said, “Stefan is someone we’ve had our eye on for a while and he has all the right attributes as a striker. He’s scored a lot of goals over the past few seasons and will prove a good addition to our front-line in the future.”
Stefan spoke with Barnsley PlayerHD, saying “To have the opportunity to sign for a club like Barnsley, I’ve taken it with both hands. I like getting in behind, taking people on and scoring.”
