Barnsley Football Club is delighted to welcome Barnet captain Andy Yiadom to Oakwell on a free transfer, after the Bees skipper signed a two-year contract with the Reds.
Yiadom has appeared 177 times for Barnet where he has flourished as a full-back and winger with his pace and skill, hitting the net on seven occasions during the 2015/16 season.
The Club is thrilled to welcome Yiadom, who had a number of suitors chasing his signature following yet another impressive campaign in the capital, to South Yorkshire.
Speaking to barnsleyfc.co.uk, Head Coach Paul Heckingbottom said, “We are really pleased Andy has chosen us as the next step of his career. He’s an athletic and exciting player with experience but also has his best years ahead of him at 24 years of age.”
Andy told Barnsley PlayerHD, “I’m very pleased to come to a club like Barnsley. They’ve done very well and I’m just looking forward to getting out there and doing my best for the Club.
“I know they play attacking and exciting football, that’s what I’m looking forward to doing.”
