Barnsley's Alfie Mawson has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One 'Player of the Month' for February.
The defender has been a rock at the back for the Reds throughout February, helping his side to three clean sheets, 10 points from a possible 15, whilst also playing a part in the Reds' Johnstone's Paint Trophy Northern Area Final success.
Mawson capped off the month at Crewe with his seventh goal of the season - and arguable his best - as he scored a sublime free-kick at Gresty Road in the Reds' 2-1 win.
The centre-half is up against Nicky Ajose of Swindon, Millwall's Jordan Archer and Bradford City striker James Hanson.
The winner will be announced on Friday 11th March. The judging panel comprises of George Burley, Don Goodman, Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson, LMA Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
