Fletcher Called Up To England Under-20s

16 March 2016

Ashley Fletcher has been called up to the England Under-20s squad for an Easter Sunday international against Canada Under-20s.

England Under-20s head coach Keith Downing has named a 20-man squad for his side’s forthcoming game at Doncaster’s Keepmoat Stadium, which kicks off at 4pm on Sunday 27 March.

Canada U20s are the opposition heading to the Keepmoat, as the Young Lions aim to continue their recent run of good form on home soil.

The game is the first match in permanent charge for Downing, who had previously been in temporary charge of the team and has already enjoyed wins against the Czech Republic, Holland and Turkey.

Fletcher looks likely to miss Barnsley's home game against Scunthorpe and potentially the game at Port Vale on Easter Monday.
