22-year-old Striker heads to Blundell Park for the 2016/17 season.
We can today confirm that Kayden Jackson has joined League Two newcomers Grimsby Town on a season long loan deal.
The frontman joined the Club from Wrexham in May on a two-year contract and has since gone on to feature in three of the Reds four pre-season games so far.
Jackson will now team up with the Mariners for the 2016/17 Sky Bet League Two season and will be looking to play a significant role throughout his time on the East Coast.
On the loan deal, Reds Head Coach Paul Heckingbottom commented, “This provides Kayden with a great opportunity to go out and get some valuable Football League experience. He’s come in from non-league and performed really well for us during pre-season. He’s got the drive and determination to succeed - so I’m confident that he’ll make the step up, have a positive impact at that level and return to us an even better player. We know the potential that he has and this development opportunity will be good for both him and the Club.”
