Paul Heckingbottom’s side will travel to Cheltenham in their next match of pre-season on Tuesday 19th July.
Managed by Gary Johnson, The Robins were crowned Champions of the Vanarama National League last season and returned to Sky Bet League Two at the first attempt.
So far this pre-season, Cheltenham – just like Barnsley – have won all of their friendlies.
The last meeting between the two sides was in February 2003 when the Reds ran out 3-1 winners away at Whaddon Road.
