U23s | PREVIEW: Barnsley vs Bolton Wanderers

2 December 2016

All the essential information ahead of this afternoon's clash with Bolton Wanderers!

Barnsley Under 23s welcome Bolton Wanderers Under 23s to Oakwell in the Professional Development League this afternoon.

The Reds head into the clash having lost only one game in their last three, coming last time out in a narrow 1-0 defeat to Leeds United at Thorp Arch.

Paul Harsley's side are seventh in the table heading into the clash with the Trotters, and victory could move them as high as fourth in the table.

Both teams won on their own turf in this fixture last season, with the Reds winning 1-0 at Oakwell, but slipping to a 2-0 defeat in the reverse fixture at The Macron.

Barnsley have only won one of the meetings between the two sides since 2013, but Harsley's men have been creating plenty of chances in recent weeks.

Bolton arrive in ninth place in the Professional Development League table, two points behind the Reds and with only four wins to their name all season.

Wanderers have only managed one win in their last six matches, coming in their last away trip against division leaders Hull City.

The Trotters have only managed one win in their last four matches away from The Macron and have failed to score in three of their last four matches.

Kick off is at 1pm on the Oakwell Training Pitch and entry is free.
