Wednesday night’s entertaining and exciting victory over Queens Park Rangers, was some of the best football witnessed at Oakwell for years! We urge all Reds fans to watch the opening 20 minutes of the match which had silky, free-flowing one touch passes, fast-paced attacks with skill and flair, in an opening spell where the Reds took the lead – and looked to press home their advantage.
If you haven't had chance to witness the superb victories over Derby or QPR, then this 20 minute period will give you a taster of what you’ve been missing, and make you want to come and watch the full 90 with over 10,000 other Reds cheering on our team!
You will see the Reds instantly frustrating their opposition as they keep the ball, playing short intricate passes, not allowing anyone wearing an away shirt to get even close to the ball. The Reds consistently got forward quickly, posing constant threats. It took just over three minutes to get the first corner of the match, which brought the first goal.
Following the goal, the link-up play and one-touch passing was outrageous, showing confidence and fluidity throughout. The quick wing play from Adam Hammill and Ryan Kent was complimented by the wing-backs of James Bree and Aidy White joining the attacks, before sprinting back as a team to complete their defensive duties as well.
