North East League title-chasers Barnsley spanned two divisions to defeat FAWPL Huddersfield Town in the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA Cup Final Last Night!
We are delighted to announced that Barnsley Ladies bagged their first ever Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA Cup last night at Parkgate FC.
Sixteen year-old Brittany Sanderson featured with a hat-trick, with Holly Findlay getting the other goal for the Tykes, whose keeper Laura Wilson played a big part along with Player of the Match, Lucy Turner.
Barnsley took a 2-0 lead and although Emily Heckler pulled a goal back just before the break for Huddersfield, the second half produced a repeat scoreline to wrap up a 4-2 win for the Reds.
