Reds Head of Academy Coaching, Mark Burton, insists tonight’s South Yorkshire derby is a ‘brilliant’ first round tie for the Under 18s.
Speaking ahead of the 7pm kick-off at the Keepmoat Stadium tonight, Burton said, “It’s brilliant for the lads. We haven’t actually them competitively in a few years. They’re a very hardworking side and will be a very difficult test.
“It doesn’t matter who you’re up against in the Cup, the lads will always be up for it and looking forward to it.
“It’ll be something they’ll talk to their mates about in a few years. It’s nice to play at a proper Stadium – some clubs don’t which I think is wrong.
“It’s sure to be a great game and one we’re all looking forward to.”
