Reds v Coventry City: Post Match Reaction

3 March 2015

Reds Head Coach Lee Johnson reflected on his side's performance after helping him to his first win at Oakwell since taking over.

"I'm very happy, second win in a week, fourth overall and we're on a good little run and two points off the play-offs. We can't get carried away because that complacency can set in. We have another home game on Saturday and I thought it was a good performance.

"It is such a young group yet it is bursting with enthusiasm and the ability to win the game in the way we did.

"Our midfield three were excellent, I don't think they gave Coventry's midfield a second. As someone went, they inevitably won the ball and not only did they win it, they nicked it and gave it to one of their mates who had full energy to go and be dynamic.

"We didn't have quite enough quality high up the pitch today but there were a lot of good areas and if we can just up that quality we could have gone on to win two or three nil."

Speaking about the goal, he said: "It was a great free-kick, it is good to score a set piece, especially one that has been worked on. Great delivery, we told him to use the wind and the conditions, when we needed him he came good."
