Signing a new contract at Oakwell was an 'easy decision' for Lewin Nyatanga as the centre-half penned his two-year deal with the Reds today on the eve of his wedding day!
Speaking to Barnsley Player Lewin said, "I think when everything was in place, it's an easy decision."
The Club is delighted Lewin turned down interest from elsewhere as he looks set to play a huge role for the Reds next season and beyond.
"I'm getting married tomorrow so that's another part of my life that I'm looking forward to. That was an easy decision, too!”
The Welsh international netted five goals in 51 games for the Reds and also scooped the Players' Player of the Year Award from his colleagues.
"We've got a great set-up at the Club,” continued Lewin. “We’ve got a very good backroom staff and that's been a big part of my decision. We've got a great manager with fresh ideas ready to push the Club forward. So when everything was in place it was quite a simple decision to make.
"You have to look at your career and what you think will help you improve as a player. I'm happy living here and I'm comfortable with everyone at the Club and I feel welcome here. They are the most important things and everything falls into place around that.
"I was really pleased with last season," he added. "For me, next season would be the same again but for us to push on as a team."
