Reds legend Bobby Hassell has thanked both sets of fans following his fantastic testimonial match on Saturday.
Hassell led the Reds out as captain in a 4-3 victory for Lee Johnson's side, with a team of ex-Reds taking to the pitch for the last 20 minutes against Mansfield Town.
"I was a bit apprehensive before because I hadn't kicked a ball in six weeks so I was wondering what my touch was going to be like. But it came back to me and I'm fit because I've been doing a lot of running.
"It was a special day and a great way to say goodbye in a proper manner. I've spent 10 years at a Football Club and dedicated my career to the Club and to the Town. So to be able to say a proper goodbye is a special day.
"I was surprised how many from Mansfield turned up. I lived there for 10 years as well and played nearly 200 games for the Football Club. Both Clubs are dear to my heart and they are the first results I look for on a Saturday. They gave me a great reception, it was brilliant to see them out there."
