Two year deal signed with CGC Event Caterers.
Barnsley Football Club is delighted to announce that CGC Event Caterers will now provide a full catering service at Oakwell Stadium for the next two years.
With over 100 years of proud history, CGC is a premier events caterer in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the north-east. CGC now cater exclusively for over 15 sports stadia venues.
Chief Executive Ben Mansford said: “We are delighted to announce that after considering a number of options and opportunities, we have decided that CGC will now take over the running of the concourse areas here at Oakwell. We recognise the importance of improving the concourse areas for our supporters and CGC have already a terrific track record with the Club having operated the matchday and non-matchday hospitality areas very successfully for the past three years”.
CGC Event Caterers’ Stadia Director, Matthew Barlow, commented “We’re thrilled at the opportunity to extend our relationship with Barnsley Football Club. Having provided all matchday and non-matchday hospitality at Oakwell since July 2012, we’ve built up strong links with the Club, its sponsors, and supporters. Our focus this season is to engage with the fans; we’ve reduced the concourse catering prices across the board, in some cases by up to 25%, and have introduced a range of homemade products to complement the selection of traditional football fare. We’re confident that Barnsley FC fans will notice a difference straight away as we implement increased staffing levels throughout the concourse supported by an uplift in management presence.”
