Danny's Yeovil Reaction

10 January 2015

Reds boss Danny Wilson gave his thoughts following today's 2-0 win over Yeovil Town.

"It was an important win for us today," said Wilson. "I think the league points more than anything puts a bit of pressure on them and if you don't win your home games then obviously the pressure mounts up on you.

"I was very pleased with the way the boys managed it today, especially some of the young lads that have come from the lower leagues and non-league because this was one of the biggest challenges physically they could have.

"The young lads who came in, the ones who have made their debut, they stood up very well to the test.

"I'm only looking at the top six, I have been all the time. I think today is another few points towards that, if we start worrying about what's happening below us we'll end up getting dragged into it. We've got to have the bravery and the belief that we can make our way up the table and we can still see that the top eight places are still up for grabs.

"We'd like to be involved in all of them but maybe the top two are out of our reach at the moment.

On extending the loan deals of the new players he said:

"We're hoping to extend them yes, it is whether the glove fits for both really. That is why it is open ended really, because they're youth loan deals they can extend them whenever they want but they can also recall them whenever too.

"If they're playing I think that is the whole exercise so it is good for them and it is good for us, if they play as well as they can then we'll hope to extend it."
