Our Main Match Sponsor is the Barnsley FC Community Trust. Based here at Oakwell, the Trust is the Charity arm of Barnsley Football Club and provides Sports Participation, Education, Health and Social Inclusion programmes for people across the local community. 

Using the vehicle of sport, physical activity, education and the brand of Barnsley Football Club, the Trust is committed to provide high quality, accessible participation and development opportunities that positively change lives and bring enjoyment to our communities. The Trust’s range of Education courses provide young people with unique opportunities to learn and develop in a number of exciting subjects, including our ‘Introduction to Coaching’, ‘Diploma in Sport’, ‘Activity Leadership Apprenticeship’, ‘Extended Diploma in Development & Coaching’ courses, amongst others. The high quality facilities here at Oakwell provide an ideal environment to learn and embark on an exciting career in sport. The Trust is also part of the National Citizen Service programme (NCS), which provides 15-17 year olds with unique opportunities to build new skills, meet new friends and make a difference in the local community.

The Trust at Barnsley FC recognises the positive role it can play and is committed to providing opportunities for all sections of the community and aim to do this by providing high quality and enjoyable activities that are relevant to the borough.  The Barnsley FC Community Trust prides itself on the quality of its staffing team and the 'can do' attitude that is present in everything that they do, and as a registered charity the team are determined to build on the success they have experienced to date. To do this they are always interested in establishing partnership work with local and regional groups/agencies in order to extend their reach. They welcome enquiries from local businesses, partners, sponsors, organisations and individuals who may be interested in getting involved to help the Trust achieve its mission.
