Ben Pearson Can't Wait to Face Hometown Club Oldham

3 February 2015

Pick up tonight's edition of Be Red to catch this exclusive interview with on-loan midfielder Ben Pearson.

The Manchester United man is delighted to face his hometown Club Oldham Athletic, and will be hoping to repeat his personal and team performance from the weekend against the Latics tonight.

Here is an extract of tonight's interview with the 20-year-old:

Tonight’s fixture for on-loan midfielder Ben Pearson is extra special as the Manchester United man prepares to face his hometown team for the very first time.

Born and raised in Oldham, Pearson even played for ‘Boundary Park’ – a junior team who trained next to the Latics’ stadium.

“It’s the tie I’d look at to want to play and do very well in,” Pearson told Be Red about tonight’s fixture.  “I don’t know many of the lads there but went to school with one of them. It’s a little bit of added pressure but it’s slightly different, I’ll still want to go and win the game all the same.

“I’ve got a lot of friends and all my family there. I’ve been to see Oldham a few times. I don’t support them but I do follow them. It’s going to be a massive honour to play against them during my first loan in League One, so it should be good."
