Reds Head Coach Lee Johnson caught up with the press following his side's 2-1 win over Huddersfield Town.
Goals from Sam Winnall and Mason Holgate overturned the Terriers' lead in what was a good performance from Johnson's side.
"You can see what we're about. You can see we're young and inexperienced at times but you can see we're talented as well. We hope that talent comes through sooner rather than later.
"We can't get too carried away because they are different, pre-season games. It will be fierce, the tempo and power in League One. It's a case of being brave and trying to implement our game on the opposition.
"I thought we looked strong as a squad. I thought Dan Crowley, on his debut, was superb. At 17-years-old to be able to handle the ball like he can.
"We've still got bits to work on. It'll take eight or nine games. It showed we needed to build into the game."
