Danny's Bristol City Reaction

25 October 2014

Reds Manager Danny Wilson gave his thoughts on today's 2-2 draw at home to league-leaders Bristol City.

"It was a terrific performance from everybody," said Wilson, speaking to Barnsley Player.

"I felt we were desperately unlucky today not get the three points. Our attacking play was brilliant.

"The second goal against us was very similar to what happened on Tuesday when the ball gets smashed into the box and it hits Martin Cranie in the face and falls straight to their striker - the same today.

"It's hit Sam Winnall in the face and gone straight to Aarron Wilbraham."

Having gone a goal behind, Wilson's side overturned the Robins' lead only to be pegged back by an unfortunate equaliser.

"Really the lads can give themselves a real pat on the back," added Wilson.

"We just have to keep going and keep believing. If we continue to work as hard as we do, we'll get our rewards - it might not be in one particular game but it might over the season.

"The performances are getting quite consistent. We've got to believe and keep going. I thought the fans were absolutely brilliant again. Even at 1-0 down they stayed with us and at the end we got them rocking and rolling and nearly on their feet at the end to get the winner.

"It says to me that the fans really understand what we're doing and they can see an improvement which is important."
