Barnsley defender Lewin Nyatanga hailed the Reds' defensive display in Saturday's South Yorkshire derby at Sheffield United.
The Wales international played his part in the heart of Barnsley's back-line as Sam Winnall's goal won it for the Reds.
"The work rate of the front two, closing down their defenders and the midfield four were sensational. Coming off the pitch, they've given everything.
"We definitely give them a well done and a pat on the back.
"It was a great team performance."
Joe Dudgeon put in a solid performance to keep former Red Jamal Campbell-Ryce's influence down to a minimum.
Nyatanga added, "(It's about) Just knowing how to manage a game - their wingers are very good players. We saw in the first five-ten minutes. We had to change the way we played and stop that threat.
"Little things change a game - like someone not following their runner or letting a cross come in. Today we were fantastic. Everyone's put a great effort in. We need to keep it going and bring a bit of consistency to our performances and go into the FA Cup next week and do exactly the same."
