Wilson's Watford Reaction

15 March 2014

Reds Manager Danny Wilson caught up with the press after seeing his side lose 3-0 to Watford.

"We've come with a game plan and we knew what we wanted to do," said Wilson. "We set ourselves up to go and attack and then had a succerpunch at the start of the game.

"It was a poor, poor goal to give away. Defensively it was suicidal," said Wilson of the first goal.

"Then to conceded a second one it's very, very difficult against a team like Watford.

"We showed a bit more fight in the second half in terms of our forward play but we were always going to be vulnerable.

"There's been a lot of home truths spoken and some candid words.

"We've got to have an inner strength. We've got to really believe we can stay up.

"We've got some good home games coming up.

"We're still in it and we're alive and fighting.

"The annoying part about it was they didn't have to work hard for their first two goals.

"We weren't defensively in the position to stop the initial ball. That was annoying."
