Wilson's Forest Reaction

8 March 2014

Reds Manager Danny Wilson talked to the press after today's 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

"Not only the win was important but the performance as well after last week," said Danny.

"Giving something back to the fans was a major, major priority today.

"We didn't see the true us last week.

"We went a long way to put it right today. I have to say the fans were as good as we were today.

"The last 20 minutes was a bit nervy but they didn't show that. They got behind us and got us through it.

"It was a great team effort from both the fans and the players today.

"They're a quality side, Forest.Everybody will look at the players missing. But when they're throwing everything at us we had to stand resolutely.

"Everybody did their bit and I want to emphasise it that the fans did their bit too."

Dale Jennings scored the only goal of the game in the 51st minute to secure the Reds three points.

Speaking of Jennings, Danny said, "He's a confidence player and we see the type of goal he scored today in training every day.

"The first shot he had today, how Darlow put it over I do not know.

"We sat him down at half time and had a word with him because he was causing them a lot of problems.

"He's got class."
