The 20-year-old has two goals to his name and has started twice out of his 15 Barnsley appearances since graduating from the Academy.
Having impressed with his wholehearted performances, Rose penned a two-year extension to his contract in January and now teams up with former boss David Flitcroft - under whom Rose netted his two goals.
