No Boring Goals For Reuben!

26 March 2014

Reds youngster Reuben Noble-Lazarus scored his third senior goal in the 3-1 win over Reading on Tuesday night.

The Academy graduate placed a delightful effort into the top corner to make it 2-1 after coming on to the more familiar role of striker.

"To be fair, I just wanted to get on the pitch in whatever position," said Reuben, speaking to barnsleyfc.co.uk. "I seem to play a few positions now so it's just another one to come on. I'm glad to get a goal for the lads.

"It just came to me nice. Tomasz flicked it round. It seemed to take a lifetime to go in!"

The Club's youngest ever player, Reuben has kept himself ready when called upon having only featured for 43 minutes this year.

"You've got to be ready and you've got to be willing," added the 20-year-old. "You've got to keep yourself as fit as you can because you could come on just around the corner. I'm glad I came on and took my chance.

"We set off and took on board things from the Bournemouth game. We pressed from the front and we got our rewards."
