Reds winger Dale Jennings was delighted to notch his first Barnsley goal at the weekend against Nottingham Forest.
The 21-year-old’s strike proved to be the winner over Forest – his first goal in little less than three years.
“I came in at half time and the gaffer sat me down and had a word,” said Jennings. “He told me to get back out there and get at them again. I did and luckily it (shot) went in.
“I hit it well. I saw the ‘keeper moving to his left and as soon as I hit it I thought it was in.
“If you don’t shoot, you never know if you’re going to score or not.”
The winger was also pleased with his side’s clean sheet, and will be looking for another tomorrow night against Leicester City.
“We worked on it all week to be solid at the back. We wanted to come in at half time at 0-0 – that was the aim.
“We’ve got to carry on and stay solid at the back.”
