Post-Coventry City Reaction

4 January 2014

Reds Assistant Manager Micky Mellon caught up with the press following today's FA Cup clash with Coventry City at Oakwell.

"We played well first half," said Micky. "Second half we just never got going. We lost too many moments we had to come out on top on.

"We lost our individual battles. We never showed our Championship quality today and didn't get going in the second half.

"It was a good goal but that seems like a long time ago because we're very disappointed to be out of the Cup. We rate the Cup very highly and we know what it means to everyone at the Club.

"We're disappointed that maybe we never got the moments and passes right or that ball into the front-man right. We didn't show enough aggression going forward."
