Dundalk Date for Danny's Reds

21 January 2014

The Reds will travel to the Republic of Ireland for a friendly with Dundalk this Friday night (7pm kick-off).

With no weekend clash due to Wigan's involvement in the FA Cup, Reds boss Danny Wilson saw this as an ideal opportunity to keep his side on their toes.

"It’s important that after having such a great feeling with a win over Blackpool to keep momentum going a bit and keep the competitiveness around," Danny told barnsleyfc.co.uk.

"It will be a very good test for us because they’re a very good footballing side. It helps us all round, really. It helps the team out in terms of keeping the momentum going and certainly the boys who haven’t played - certainly they will be given the opportunity as well."

The match will kick off at 7pm with admission priced at €10 for adults and €5 for juveniles.
