Danny Wilson: Blackburn Rovers Reaction

28 January 2014

Reds Manager Danny Wilson gave his thoughts following tonight's 2-2 draw with Blackburn Rovers at Oakwell.

"We were much better second half in terms of coming to grips with them," said Danny. "We had little pockets of football but not enough.

"We dictated it better second half.

"We got the boys in the dressing room and had a few words. It's about working and working smart. Second half we were much smarter and that was the difference.

"Was it a penalty? From my point of view- yes - from their point of view - no. But we'll take it because I don't think we get much luck at the moment. Certainly Liam's felt it so he's gone down."

Nick Proschwitz bagged a debut goal to send the Reds into the lead with a clinical finish in the first half but it took a Chris O'Grady penalty to level the match.

"It's a fantastic finish," continued Danny on Proschwitz's. That's what he does. We saw him more than one occasion where he gets in key positions where he's going to score.

"We have a duty - after seeing him today - as a team to get that ball into the box. We have two excellent strikers up there.

"They have to compliment each other and the more they play together, they'll get more understanding of each other.

"You take everything. Points are everything. We're off the bottom; so that's psychologically very good. Let's build on it."
