Following the late postponement of Barnsley’s away match with Charlton Athletic at The Valley on Saturday 11th January, 2014, Charlton Athletic Football Club have offered free coach travel to the rearranged fixture.

Charlton will supply two coaches – one for Barnsley Football Club and one for the ‘Courthouse Reds’ – to make the trip down to South-East London.

Please be aware of the following:

-Should any supporter who booked with the official club coach and plan not to attend the rearranged fixture, they will be offered a £10 discount on a future coach trip.

-If you didn’t travel on the original trip, but may want to travel for the rearranged fixture, the Box Office are taking names for a waiting list. The cost, should there be any availability, will be £15.

-Regarding the ‘Courthouse Reds’ coach, please contact them directly regarding any arrangements they are making.

-Match ticket refunds must be made by the same method of payment and the Box Office must have the name and address from original booking

Barnsley FC Chief Executive Ben Mansford commented, “It’s good to see that Charlton have made this gesture in connection with the official coach and the leading independent coach. I accept that it will still leave some fans immensely frustrated but it is beyond what Charlton are obliged to do within the regulations.

“I appreciate it will be a tough trip to make for our fans on a Tuesday night to South-East London but Danny Wilson and I would like as many who can make it as possible to support us.”
