Woods and Watson collided in a 50-50 challenge at the DW Stadium last night but, unfortunately, it resulted in a double fracture to the fibula and tibia bone of Watson's right leg.
Speaking to barnsleyfc.co.uk, Woods said, "I'm absolutely gutted for the boy. I just went for a shot and I don't even know how it happened. It wasn't nice to see and I'm absolutely gutted for the lad. I contacted Ben last night and I will keep in touch with him throughout his recovery.
"I wish him a speedy and full recovery."
