Wilson's Ipswich Reaction

8 February 2014

Reds Manager Danny Wilson gave his thoughts after seeing his side throw away a two-goal at home to Ipswich.

"It's another point and who knows at the end of the season how important it might be.

"The frustrating thing is, looking over the 90 minutes, we got to a point in the game where we didn't see it out.

"That seems a bit frustrating but in saying that, you've got to take your hat of to Ipswich. They're a very good side and they made it difficult for us to defend.

"Their two goals were flukey but other than that, we move on and take the point. When you know teams going as well as Ipswich are, taking points off them is a good return. The frustrating part is that we were two up."

Goals from Chris O'Grady and Tomasz Cywka saw the Reds secure a two-nil lead, but the enforced substitution of Jack Hunt made things difficult for Danny's side, as he continued, "I wouldn't say that was the turning point but it's had a major impact on us. Losing Jack in that area to a blow on his ankle, and he got worse as it went on. It set us back and imbalanced us quite a bit. Jim went in there and does a sterling job in there but, unfortunately, he's not a right-back.

"It's not his preferred or strongest position but, unfortunately, it did dishevel us somewhat.

"Hopefully we'll have Ryan back in a week or so and he'll give us that cover and extra body that we need."
