Danny Wilson gave his thoughts after Barnsley finished 2-2 for the third time in four matches.
"I think we fully deserved the point today if not more with the way that we played. Our second half performance was very good.
"In a derby game there are always going to be incidents, some went for us, some went against. We showed great character and kept going for the 90 plus minutes and kept hammering on the door and got our rewards.
"I would have loved a win, but the way the game panned out it was a good result for us.
"We could have gone in at the break 2-0 up and it would have been a fantastic return for how we played, but the referee has seen something, although we cant see anything on the DVD. It looked like a clear cut header from Martin Cranie.
"We have two very good strikers in Chris and Nick and games like this will help build their level of confidence in playing with each other.
"I think we should have done better with both the goals Doncaster scored. That said we came back from the set back of the goal very strong which is pleasing from my point of view.
"The way we finished the game and how strongly we finished will set us up well for the next games coming up."
