"It was a great team performance and it feels good in there," said O'Brien, speaking to Barnsley Player.
"All the back four were brilliant. The two centre-halves headed everything today.
"I think we have to build on that and take it into each game. It's going to be a scrap into the end of the season and today shows that we're up for it."
Jim netted the only goal of the game on four minutes but admits he never saw his strike hit the net!
"When I went down I thought he was going to get the tackle in," added Jim. "I never saw it hit the net, I just heard the cheer. It's always nice to get a goal but it was more important team performance.
"We've got the most experience of doing it (surviving) so we definitely can."
