Barnsley 3 (Maris 63, Boakye-Yiadom 68, Jennings 70)

Barnsley Reserves recorded a 3-0 victory - only their second of the season - away at Huddersfield Town this afternoon.

Goals from George Maris, Nana Boakye-Yiadom and Dale Jennings secured the victory for Barnsley's second string in the Professional Development U21 League.

Youngsters Mason Holgate and Jack Cowgill featured in defence for Paul Heckingbottom's team.

Eighteen minutes into the second half George Maris half-volleyed into the bottom corner from the edge of the area and he then turned provider for the Reds' second.

Less than five minutes later, Maris squared for Boakye-Yiadom who stabbed him from inside the six-yard box but the goal of the game went to Dale Jennings.

After picking up possession inside his own half, the winger dashed forward past two defenders before unleashing an unstoppable effort into the top corner to wrap up the points on 70 minutes.

Barnsley Reserves are next in action against Crewe on Tuesday 23rd December, 2014, kicking off at 1pm on the Oakwell Academy pitch.
