Young defender George Smith has been ruled out for a 'few weeks' after suffering from a fractured toe.

The 17-year-old suffered a late challenge in the first half of the Reds' 1-1 draw with Hull City and, consequently, learned of a fractured toe after medical assessment.

Reds Manager Danny Wilson said, "It's unfortunate for George but these things crop up. Like all the young lads, he's stepped up to the plate. Hopefully he'll be back within a few weeks."
