Danny's Bolton Reaction

12 April 2014

Reds Manager Danny Wilson caught up with the press following today's defeat at Bolton.

"We can't do any more than that, can we?" said Wilson, speaking to Barnsley Player. "Coming here to Bolton and dominating for large, large parts of the game.

"We had the best chances in the game. Had one penalty but should have had two penalties.

"They have given us everything today. They've left nothing behind which was asked of them.

"We've not come away with what we deserved which is not a draw, we should have won that game."

Chris O'Grady missed a late, second-half penalty as the Reds searched hard for an equaliser.

"We won't have to pick them up," added Wilson. "If we play like that on Tuesday we'll be fine.

"With that type of attitude and application we'll be alright.

"It was a soft goal to concede but if that's the only mistake we've made all game, we've been harshly punished for it.

"I'm delighted with that performance. Yes, I'm disappointed with the result but if we can show that commitment and desire on Tuesday, we'll be great."
