Bolton v Reds: Betting Preview

10 April 2014

Barnsley’s bid for Sky Bet Championship safety hits the road again with bookies easing them out to 7/2 to avoid the drop following the Tykes midweek defeat by Premier League -bound Burnley.

Danny Wilson’s men have showed much improved form on their travels recently with impressive 4-1 and 3-1 wins over Yeovil and Reading respectively and are 7/2 to complete a hat-trick of away successes as they visit Bolton.

Wanderers won the previous meeting between the sides 1-0 on Boxing Day but Barnsley will be hopeful of turning the tables with Bolton having reached safety comfortably but with no prospect of reaching the play-offs.

The Trotters are 3/4 for the victory with the draw available at 13/5.

Tykes’ top scorer Chris O’Grady bagged a brace in the success at Yeovil and can be backed at 12/1 to repeat the feat at the weekend. He is also 13/2 to score the opening goal and 11/2 to score in what would be a vital victory.

If you’re feeling optimistic after seeing the Tykes score seven goals in their last two away outings you can back them to win by exactly two goals at 16/1 or 3 or more at 40/1.

Correct score group betting is also available with a 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 triumph for the Tykes available at 9/2.
