Barnsley Football Club have become the latest company to join Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce as a Patron.
Established in 1887, the Football Club is one of the oldest organisations in Barnsley and is one of the biggest brands in the town and South Yorkshire.
For many years the Football Club has worked closely with the Chamber and has been a member for over 20 years. It is now the club has taken the decision to strengthen its links with local businesses and by doing so upgraded their membership to Patronage.
Rachel Hearne, Commercial Manager at Barnsley Football Club said, "Barnsley FC are proud to become a patron of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce. This long-term partnership will allow us to show the local business community, and those further afield, all that we can offer both through the club and at Oakwell."
The Football Club, in partnership with the Chamber, will offer members more opportunities for Corporate Hospitality, Networking and closer working relationships with the club. Mark Hannigan, Membership Services Manager at Chamber said, “We are really excited to be working closer with Barnsley Football Club, this strengthened relationship opens the club to our members and local businesses.”
As part of the Patronage package, the Chamber and the Football Club will host a new Barnsley FC Business Club. The Business Club with run monthly and the first confirmed speaker is the new Chief Executive at the Club, Ben Mansford.
