Reds Ready For 'Adventurous' Boro

17 October 2013

Reds Manager David Flitcroft met with the press ahead of Saturday's home match with Middlesbrough.

Boro are the first of back-to-back home games for the Reds, with Sheffield Wednesday visiting Oakwell next Saturday.

"You know what you're getting with Middlesbrough," said Flitcroft. "Tony Mowbray loves technicians, they love players who can move the ball. They play with an adventure, they always have done and always will do, because that's Middlesbrough. They can be the most exciting team in the league when they're in full tilt.

"We've done our homework. We've got a game-plan. I've got players here who want to win this football match.

"I've told the players today that they've got to energise our fans because they've supported us since day one.

"We know we've got the backing of the fans."

The only two definite absentees for Saturday are Luke Steele (back) and Peter Ramage (thigh), meaning Flitcroft almost has a full squad to choose from.
