Reds Manager David Flitcroft was delighted to welcome Marcus Tudgay back to Oakwell for his second Barnsley stint on loan.
“We needed a player that knows what we need,” Flitcroft said of Tudgay. “He was hitting some form the last time he was here until his injury. He’s a good sort and he’s good in the dressing room. He’s got intelligence out on the pitch and he’s got guile. We’ve got a workmanlike team here and adding that guile is just what we need.

“He’s someone that I didn’t really have to spend a lot of time explaining what we’re about.”
Tudgay will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s home clash with Birmingham and has been allocated squad number 50.
