Tudgay Joins Reds

28 November 2013

Striker Marcus Tudgay has joined the Reds on an emergency loan from fellow Skybet Championship side Nottingham Forest.

The 30-year-old re-joins Barnsley having spent a stint on loan at Oakwell last term, making nine appearances (one sub) and scoring three goals.

“I jumped at the chance (to re-join)," he said. "They’re a great set of lads here.

“I always say that given the opportunity, I will score goals. If I can come here, score one or two goals and help the team then that’ll be good.”

The forward began his career with Derby County before joining Sheffield Wednesday for a successful spell from 2006 - going on to score 51 goals for the Owls.

Marcus has been allocated squad number 50 for this weekend's home match against Birmingham City.

Tudgay's loan runs until January 3rd, 2014.
